BURGER FEDERATION IS AN INTERNATIONAL GOURMET HAMBURGER RESTAURANT CHAIN EXISTING PRIMARILY IN AIRPORTS AROUND THE WORLD. The first one recently opened in Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome, Italy. This new chain of restaurant’s primary focus is to give travelers an more upscale, healthier meal alternative during their travels. With people having to arrive at airports earlier and earlier this concept is a welcome relief.
BoyBurnsBarn was asked to not only create the brand identity but also the name. HMS Host, the client, is hoping to open more and more of these over the next few years. Therefore the idea of working in the city name into the logo was intentional in order to create brand uniqueness to a certain location but also brand familiarity. Hence the simple and direct name BURGER FEDERATION. However, the fun spin on the name is that it can be shortened to simply “Burger Fed”. This becomes a simple statement in what each of their customers literally are after eating there. Taking control of the name like this helps create a closer connection with the consumer through this simple subconscious playfulness.
Not only are we thankful for more concepts like this making traveling better for all of us, we really enjoyed the process of starting at the ground level; crafting a name and building that identity. Can’t wait to see more of these developed in the near future and perhaps even see one States side soon.
