Redken needed a bold confident, splash into the competitive men’s grooming market. From a conceptual stand point the design needed to invoke a feeling of masculinity and assertiveness that would reflect the personality of the male market they were targeting.
This project was created from the ground up: From choosing the shapes of the actual package and the colors that would represent this new line to working along side copywriters to conceive the right sounding words to coincide with the design.
The final execution demonstrates a very masculine experience, one that is both visual and tactile. As seen across the entire spectrum of products this design system translates easy from one container to the next. Gun metal gray packaging with a bold colored product name creates a dominating shelf presence.
